Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover

So the holiday season is over and I’m wishing I took an extra week off work. It finally feels like summer’s here, a bit too hot in my opinion. I think between 25-30 degrees is comfortable, anything over drains the life out of me. We don’t have aircon at home so when it gets hot it gets HOT. I was like sweating writing this last night lol.

Recently, I have been trialing Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover. This bottle works wonders! I’ve tried other higher end make up removers but the Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover does pretty much the same thing.

According to Neutrogena “Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover takes off even waterproof eye makeup without leaving an oily residue. Forget harsh tugging and pulling. This ultra-gentle dual phase formula activates when shaken to remove all eye makeup—even waterproof mascara—without any greasy residue. It is ophthalmologist tested, safe for contact lens wearers and oil free“.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover.

What I like about this makeup remover:

  • Removes makeup easily, even waterproof
  • Doesn’t irritate (at least not for me)
  • Packaging is secure and does not leak

The best way I found is to soak a cotton pad with the remover and place it against your eye, wait a few seconds then wipe off. The Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover claims to be oil-free but I found that it does leave a very thin film of greasiness. Removing waterproof mascara will take about 2-3 wipes depending on how much mascara you pack on.

What’s your favourite makeup remover?

This product was provided for consideration. This has not influenced my opinion.

I use this too!! I think it works wonders especially with waterproof mascara and lipsticks, but I agree…it does leave a film of grease after use and that annoys me that I have to wash my face afterwards!

I’m fine with the greasiness because I always wash my face after I remove makeup. I only discovered the grease when I was trying to tidy up my makeup by removing the excess with the remover, then I tried to put eyeshadow back on top and realised I couldn’t lol

I’ve just finished off my bottle of this, and I’m seriously itching to get another one! I’m currently using the My Beauty Diary Peach Soda Eye & Lip Makeup Remover. It was the pretty cute packaging that sucked me in (product wise, it’s okay) … it gets me every time!

From memory, I think it was from Sasa online. However I’ve seen them sold on eBay as well :)

This makeup remover is also one of my favourite removers. It worked quite well at removing waterproof mascara which for me was the most annoying to remove haha.

I don’t use mascara that often. Everytime I buy mascara, it ends up drying up. I did use it a few times to test this remover though as well as waterproof eyeliner.

love, love, LOVE this makeup remover! I’ve tried this along with the wipes version. Personally, I prefer the wipes mainly because digging for cotton balls is too much physical exertion while taking off my makeup…

I know, I’ve got issues. LOL great review though ~ I couldn’t agree more

LOL Christine, you sound so lazy. There’s wipe version? I wonder if we have them in Australia. I think I’ll be visiting the US at the year so I’ll ask you for product recommendations!

Unfortunately there’s a lot of truth to that.. LOL I figured the less I have to do, the better.

But yes, there is a wipe version – I find it quite useful. They also have these travel packs which I LOVE because they’re small enough so that I can carry them around in a clutch, they don’t take up room at all (: yes, I’d love to compare products with you <3

This does wonders but I hate the icky grease afterwards! It says oil free but I can’t deal with the texture after I have taken my make up off.

Hey Anna! I know what you mean about the grease afterwards, I usually wash my face after I remove my eye makeup so it doesn’t really bothers me.
