Palmolive Oil Infusions Review + Giveaway [Closed]

When it comes to body moisturisers, I’m pretty fussy. I like my moisturisers nice smelling but not too over-powering. I’m also not a fan of the thick ones that are hard to apply. I’ve been trialing the new Palmolive Oil Infusions range for the last four weeks and have been pleasantly surprised. If you read until the end, there may even be a giveaway☺.

Inspired by the essential oils trend exploding in health and beauty, the Oil Infusions range is enriched with an infusion of essential oils and botanical extracts including avocado oil, jojoba oil, jasmine extract, macadamia oil, rose oil and citrus oils.

The Palmolive Oil Infusions skin care collection consist of:

  • Palmolive Oil Infusions Body Moisturiser
  • Palmolive Oil Infusions Body Wash
  • Palmolive Oil Infusions Liquid Hand Wash
  • Palmolive Oil Infusions Body Bar

Body Moisturisers, Body Wash & Hand Wash range is available in:

  • Jasmine with Avocado Oil
  • Citrus with Jojoba Oil
  • Rose with Macadamia Oil

Palmolive Oil Infusions Body Moisturiser

This moisturiser has the perfect consistency. It’s ultra hydrating, absorbs quickly into the skin and does not leave skin feeling greasy at all. I use this straight out of the shower and 3 pumps is more than enough to moisturise my entire body. All three blends smell amazing and my favourite is the rose with macadamia oil.

Palmolive Oil Infusions Body Wash & Body Bar

Both products lather really well. For the body wash, use only a small amount is required. I like to use two pumps with a cleansing puff but there are bubbles everywhere so you can definitely use just one pump. The body wash leaves skin feeling cleansed less the dryness afterwards.

I’m pretty impressed with the packaging. I’ve placed the hand wash on my kitchen sink since receiving it and four weeks later the bottle still looks good as new. The hand wash feels luxurious and my hand feels clean but not dry. It’s our go to hand wash in the kitchen now. I’ve tested this hand wash on some seriously greasy hands and it has passed the test!

Super Easy Date Night Effortless Waves Tutorial

Hello Spring! How I’ve missed you!

When I think of spring…warm weather, flowers and date night pop into my head. Today I’ll be showing you how to create super easy date night effortless waves using the ghd Curve Soft Curl Tong. Who doesn’t love effortless waves? I know I do, it’s my all time favourite hairstyle. I’m extremely grateful to be given this opportunity to try out such a fab product and it has easily become my go-to curler.

Super Easy Date Night Effortness Waves Tutorial

Tools you’ll need:

  • ghd Curve Soft Curl Tong (32mm barrel)
  • Hair brush (not pictured above)
  • Hair Clip
  • Hair Tie
  • Hair Spray
  • Heat Protector
  • Hair Oil

Start off with freshly washed or 1 day old hair. Before you start curling, make sure you thoroughly brush through your hair and remove any tangles. To prevent your hair from getting heat damage, apply heat protector spray all over.

Split hair into halves and again split the upper and lower – so now the hair is divided into quarters.

Take a small section of hair and clasp about 5cm section of hair. Twist the curler out (away from your face) until hair is wrapped around. Hold for 15-20sec, release clasp and slowly slide curler out.

For a more natural look, I like to alternate directions of the curl. Same process as the above but twisting the curl in (towards your face).

Continue taking similar sized sections and repeat the process until you have curled all your hair. Run your fingers through the waves to make them loose and flowy,.

Now you have effortless waves! Add some hair spray, this will help make your curls last longer.

The very last step (optional), gently pat a few drops of hair oil to give it a bit of shine.

What’s your favourite hairstyle?

The ghd Curve Soft Curl Tong was gifted to me. This has not affected my opinion in anyway.

Fresh off my shopping basket – Priceline Sale and Haul

Fresh off my shopping basket - Priceline Haul

Yippee! It’s that time of the year where Priceline has their 40% off skincare sale. The last few months, I have been waiting for this sale and I’m so glad it’s finally here. If you haven’t gone yet, the sale is on until tomorrow so get in quick. I shared a piccy on instagram yesterday of my shopping basket so it’s only fair I post about the products I’ve purchased. Luckily, today I finished work a little earlier than usual so I could come home and take a photo. The lighting ain’t great but hey it will do for now.

In no particular order, here’s what I got:

Uriage Cleansing Cream – I’ve been using this cleanser for a couple of years now and it’s great as a morning cleanser or days where I’m makeup free.

Nuxe Lifting Eye Cream –  I was attracted to this because it was under the anti-aging section. I’m willing to try anything to stop me from looking like a Chinese Aunty for now. This was the most expensive item out of the 11 items at $32.99 which is not too bad for an eye cream.

La Roche-Posay Micellar Foaming Water – This was recommended to me by a friend last year and have been using it since December. The micellar foaming water is one of my favourite foam cleansers because it’s quite gentle and doesn’t dry out my face.

Aveeno Intense Relief Hand Cream – A nice and cheap little hand cream at $5.99. I use it mainly before bed time and this permanently sits on my bedside table.

Swisse Manuka Honey Detoxifying Clay Mask – Not gonna lie, I threw this into my shopping basket yesterday as so many bloggers rave about it. Managed to try it last night and I’m pretty happy with it. I saw some oily gunk seep through the mask last night.

Skin Doctors pH Balancing Cleanser, Supermoist & Gamma Hydroxy – At the start of the year, I got to try out these amazing products from Skin Doctors, I loved it so much I had to repurchase.

Nivea Men Protective Moisturiser & Natio Men Oil Free Moisturiser – I couldn’t find the usual moisturiser the husband uses so I purchased the Nivea and Natio moisturisers for him to try.

Cetaphil Moisturising Cream – This is a first time purchase, the husband wanted a moisturiser to bring to work so got this one for him.

Did you go to the Priceline sale and what did you buy?

Bank account said no but the Credit Card said ‘yes, you can afford EVERYTHING’.
