At the end of January, I attended the Glamour Affair blogging event. One of the highlights from the event was when Benefit presented and showed us products that were going to be released. We were introduced to Benefit Puff Off and License To Blot, both have been released and available at Benefit counters now.
Not surprising, Benefit Cosmetics is ultra creative with their product naming and packaging. Benefit Puff Off is an eye gel that helps with reducing the appearance of puffy eyes.
Iron on…puff off! Puffies & creases look “satiny smooth” with our innovative undereye gel. The custom “ironing” tip instantly helps smooth the look of undereye puffies & fine lines. Iron away for a smoother day!
At the blogging event, the Benefit gals were telling us the applicator tip is in the shape of an iron because an iron flattens out creases and that’s what the Puff Off is supposed to do, get rid of the creases and puffiness! The metal tip gives the application a cooling effect and provides a precise application – it can get to hard to reach places. Because the product is in a tube, be careful not to squeeze too firmly otherwise you’ll end up wasting product.
The gel is light weight and absorbs quite quickly into the skin. Puff off is a temporary product and does not prevent puffy eyes or decrease lines, so definitely not an anti-ageing product if that’s what you’re after.
To use the product, squeeze a small amount of product and dab it around under my eye. Then use the iron applicator to spread the product evenly under the eye. Sometimes I use my finders if I’m in a rush. It’s quite a refreshing product and I find it really nice to use in the mornings.
My eyes don’t really get puffy, more dark circles than anything. Oh and sometimes dryness around my eye area and that’s about it. Since I don’t have puffy eyes, I don’t see much of a difference on me. In saying that, I still think this is one of the funkiest products I’ve used in a while.
Have you tried Benefit Puff Off?

Happy Sunday!! Today I have my US beauty haul that I wanted to share with you. It has taken me a while to snap photos of the makeup I purchased in the US, I’m still suffering from post holiday blues. Prior to my trip, I didn’t buy any makeup for months and months because I knew I could get them heaps cheaper overseas. I purchased half of my makeup stash online when Sephora had their 20% off VIB sale and got them sent directly to my in laws place. Considering how cheap the makeup in the US are and another 20% off, I think I got a pretty good deal.
Anddd here’s my US beauty haul:

Here are some close up of my favourite products – I was a bit lazy to take photos of everything
The first thing we did when we got off the plane was raid Target for a SIM card but it just so happened a bunch of EOS lip balms were waiting for me there so I snagged a few. I loved Target so much, we stopped by another 5-6 times, not just for beauty stuff but for Flaming Hot Cheetos and Gold-Fish biscuits.
A few items (Chanel & Dior) were purchased at duty-free at the airport. It was quite a good deal especially when their price is lower than stores outside and you don’t have to pay the 9% tax.
One thing I really wanted to buy but didn’t, was the Em Cosmetic Life Palette. I put in an order twice but both times got rejected so I gave up. I thought if they didn’t want to take my money, I’ll use it else where.
I hope you enjoyed the haul and let me know if there is a particular product you want me to review first otherwise I’ll randomly choose. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!!
Everything in this post was purchased by me.
Woo hoo, almost mid week!! Such a relief that the cool change rocked up a few days ago. It was starting to feel like the heat would never go away. I would look at the weather forecast and everyday would be like 30+. What a drainer!! I was sent the Benefit Stay Don’t Stray for trial, I have been using it for around 2 weeks now and I thought it’s time for a review. The Benefit Stay Don’t Stray is an eye primer which can be used on the eyelids and under the eye. I recently reviewed Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer which did crease in hot weather after a few hours. During the 8 day hot streak we had in Melbourne, I used this product everyday and not one day did it crease in the hot weather. Pretty impressive hey? I was pretty surprised myself. My face would be sliding off but my eyeshadow remained and still looked quite lovely by the end of the day. It does deliver on its claim!
Stay-put primer for concealers & eyeshadows. This dual-action power primer works 360° around the eyes to make concealers and eyeshadows stay put! Concealers don’t crease, eyeshadows stay vibrant and true… you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it!
The packaging is a 10ml pump tube. A pump applicator is great for hygiene. If you do end up buying this, make sure you don’t press too hard. My first few times, I pressed all the way down and wasted so much product. I believe tge new packaging for this primer is a “dip & dab” wand for easier application.
What I like about this primer:
- Lasts all day and I have not experienced any creasing
- Works great with eyeshadows
- Matt finish
- Applies smoothly
- Comes in two tones, light/medium and medium/deep
This is a great eyeshadow primer. I am really enjoying not having any creases. Having said that, I don’t really use this under the eyes. I find that it settles in the corner creases, making it look like I have wrinkly eyes. This primer retails for $45 and is available at Benefit counters.
Have you tried this Benefit primer?
This product was sent to me for review purposes, this has not influenced my opinion. It really didn’t crease!!
