Stuff I’m loving June edition

Helloo everyone! How are we all? I’ve been extremely fortunate recently and had the opportunity the try many fantastic products. In this post, I will be featuring some of the products I’ve tested in June that I’ve been loving. Stuff I'm loving June edition Stuff I'm loving June edition

Aveda Smooth Infusion Naturally Straight Styling Creme – I have naturally straight hair but in the cold weather my hair doesn’t do too well. For some reason, the cold weather causes my hair to be really dry and frizzy on the ends. I was introduced to this styling cream that is supposed to progressively eliminates unwanted waves and frizz with every use. After gradually using it for a couple of weeks, my hair is in better condition and less frizzy! I usually use this when blow drying my hair and found that it really helps with fighting the winter frizz.

Kosmea Rose Hand Cream – A good hand cream is a must in winter. I was really excited to have received this as my existing hand cream had just run out. This product has a really lovely rose scent (can’t stop smelling my hands). I keep this in my handbag all the time, it’s very travel friendly. The cream itself is luxurious and hydrating. During winter if I don’t use a hand cream, my knuckles would crack and it’s painful. Ever since I started using this hand cream, there has been no signs of dry skin or cracks, just seriously nice smelling smooth hands.

De Lorenzo Nova Fusion Colour Care Shampoo in Violet– The concept behind the De Lorenzo Violet shampoo is to enhance rich violet tones in coloured or natural hair. When I first used this, I was blown away… the shampoo was dark purple! Never in my life have I used a coloured shampoo!! Anyway, I used it for a good few weeks and found that it really gives my hair the extra vibrance it needs.

Sachajuan Intensive Hair Oil – This little bottle of goodness contains Argan Oil and Sea Buckthorn Oil. I use this oil after I blow dry and it instantly gives my hair extra shine. I’m not good at describing scents of products but I love the scent of this oil. It’s like putting perfume in your hair!

Arbonne CC Cream – Usually Monday to Thursday, I don’t use much makeup. Slap on some BB/CC cream with some blush and I’m out the door. The Arbonne CC Cream has been my go to product during my lazy work days. It helps to even out my complexion and covers my pigmentation. It feels light and does not make my face oily or greasy.

Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream – I’ve been using this every night while watching tv and I have really seen a huge difference in my cuticles. After 2 weeks, the dryness and peeling has dramatically reduced! I’m so happy! Although it’s called a cream, it feels more like a balm. The product is contained in a small silver tin, it’s slightly hard when you start to use it. But after a few rotations around the tin, it melts with the warmth of your fingers.

You_Who_Came_From_the_Stars_CoverKorean Drama – It’s time for a non-beauty favourite! I’ve been seeing and hearing so many people rave on about this Korean tv series called You Who Came From The Stars and made me really curious. I started watching it a few weeks ago and pretty much hooked onto it. I’ve stopped watching this week and waiting until I go on annual leave next week to start again so I have something to do.

New goodies from Burt’s Bee

Lets talk about new goodies from Burt’s Bee, shall we? Burt’s Bee have just recently introduced a new lip balm and two new lip shimmer shades. Both the lip balm and lip shimmers are 100% natural and free from nasty chemicals or animal testing.

Burt's bees lip shimmer lipbalm

Lip shimmers in Grapefruit and Apricot (RRP $9.95) – Formulated with goodies such as vitamin e, fruit oil, sunflower and coconut oil to give your lips the hydration it needs. There is also a hint of peppermint oil which explains the refreshing tingles on my lips every time I apply it. The lip shimmers are very similar to a tinted lip balm but with more intense colour pay off.

Grapefruit is a shimmery light pink shade. I found grapefruit a little too frosted for my skin tone and would suit someone who has fairer skin.

Apricot is a nice peachy shade. Between the two, I would pick apricot as it looks nicer on my complexion. It’s perfect to use everyday and can be re-applied as often as you like.

Lip Balm with Coconut & Pear (RRP $6.95) – This new lip balm contains coconut oil, pear extract and shea butter. The coconut and pear scent is absolutely heavenly and smells so delicious! I really like this lip balm probably because I love coconut. This lip balm has a really nice formula and moisturises my dry lips well.

Burt’s Bees Lip Colour Review

Today I have some goodies from Burt’s Bees to review. The Burt’s Bees lip shine, lip gloss and tinted lip balm are 100% natural and contains no bad stuff such as petroleum, parabens or sodium lauryl sulfate. Burt’s Bees also does not test on animals. According to Burt’s Bees, on average a woman can ingest up to 4kg of lip product in her lifetime. So we better start looking at the type of lippies we are buying, gobbling up 4kg of lip products which contains chemicals cannot be good for us!

Burt's Bees Lip Colour Review

Lip Shine RRP $14.95

The lip shines are packed with good stuff such as vitamin A & E and sunflower seed oil. They come in a convenient clear squeezy tube and you know exactly how much product you have left. The scent is kinda sweet and reminds me of strawberries. You know what the best thing about these lip shines are? They’re not sticky!!! This gives you the glassy wet look and is quite hydrating on the lips. The range comes in 6 colours – lush, whisper, b wink, flutter, pucker and smooch.

Lip Gloss RRP $16.95

The lip glosses are formulated with beeswax and moisturing oils. The clear tube gives a good indication of the colour and how much of the product is left inside. I was sent sunny day for review and it has a slight hint of shimmer. The scent reminds me of play-doh, doesn’t linger so I’m kinda neutral towards it. The range comes in 12 shades from nudes to dark purple.

Tinted Lip Balm RRP $14.95

The lip balms contains soft flower waxes, shea butter and vitamin E to help moisturise and protect lips. The lip balms glides onto lips quite easily and does not tug onto lips like some other lip balms do. The shea butter and botanical waxes leave my lips feeling very soft and hydrated throughout the wear. Even after when the balm wears off, my lips are still quite hydrated. The shade I received was caramel daisy and it is quite sheer. In the photo I took above, I didn’t show the lip balm inside the cardboard tube. The actual lip balm tube the usual standard size. The smallish tube is very convenient because I can put it in my bag or the back of my pockets. The range comes in 9 shades from nude to plum.
