Christmas Gift Guide 2014

Hiya folks! Oh my gosh I can’t believe Christmas is around the corner again. 2014 has gone by so quickly, felt like I just celebrated Christmas a few months ago. For some reason, I thought I’ve done a Christmas gift guide before but realised this is actually my first ever! Items in this post are things I really love or want.

Lets start off with this beauty – Aurora Spa Holiday Glow Hand Kit

This lovely gift pack contains 500ml Botanical Hand Wash and a 100ml Rose & Shea Hand Cream with a total value of $59 for just $49. I was sent this lovely gift pack and placed this in my downstairs bathroom. Everyone who has used it kept asking me where it was from and how amazing it was.

I just love opening the book and smelling the lovely apple scent. This gift pack contains 20ml Lip Balm, 50ml Body Butter, 60ml Shower Gel & 25g Soap. The price of this gift pack is $36.95.

Nail swatches featuring Orly Lush and Hot Tropics

Happy Thursday! This week has gone by quickly due to the long weekend. If only every week was a long weekend! Today I wanted to quickly talk about two nail polishes from the Orly Baked Collection, Lush and Hot Tropics. The Baked Collection comes in 6 amazing colours – Tropical Pop, Lush, Hot Tropics, Ablaze, Neon Heat and Saturated.

A brand new and innovative formula the Baked colour collection has been infused with baked pigments, specialty micas, vitamins and minerals.

The collection is formulated so that it is free of  DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde and Formaldehyde Resin.

Lush is a sheer green with small and long glitter bits. On my nails, I used 4 coats and it was still quite sheer. I think Lush would look lovely on top of a white opaque polish.

Hot Tropics is a shimmery hot fuchsia shade. I found the consistency to be quite good and dries reasonably quick. In the above photo, I used 2 coats and it was completely opaque.

The Orly Baked Collection ($18.95ea) will be available from selected pharmacies, salons nation wide and online from July

Any of these catches your eye?

I was sent two polishes from the Baked Collection. All opinions are my own.

Sunday Mani Purple Sparkles

Happy Sunday everyone!! Today, I’m going to show you an awesome nail polish I picked up a few days ago at Cosmetic Fragrance Direct. It was only $5, such a bargain!! The nail polish I purchased is Orly Can’t Be Tamed and it’s part of the Orly Flash Glam FX collection released in 2012 (an oldie but a goodie). Can’t Be Tamed is made of purple hexagon glitters and small silver glitters in a clear polish. It gives a pretty good coverage with just one coat.

Here I used a base coat of Sally Hansen Diamond Shine Base, a coat of Zoya Raven and finished off with a coat of Orly Can’t Be Tamed.

What nail polish are you wearing right now? Let me know in the comments.

Polishes purchased with my own money.
